(Matthew 23:27) A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! for you are like the resting-places
of the dead, which are made white, and seem beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones and of all unclean
things.
(Matthew 23:28) Even so you seem to men to be full of righteousness, but inside you are all
false and full of wrongdoing.

(Isaiah 13:11)
And I will send punishment on the world for its evil, and on
the sinners for their wrongdoing; and I will put an end to all pride, and will make low the power of the cruel.

(1 John 2:15) Stop loving the world and the things that are in the world. If anyone
persists in loving the world, the Father's love is not in him.
(1 John 2:16) For everything that is in the
world-the desire for fleshly gratification, the desire for possessions, and worldly arrogance-is not from the Father but is
from the world.
(1 John 2:17) the world and its evil desires are passing away. But the person who does what
God wants lives forever.

Luke 18:11 (The Self Righteous)
The Pharisee, taking up his position,
said to himself these words: God, I give you praise because I am not like other men, who take more than their right, who are
evil-doers, who are untrue to their wives, or even like this tax-farmer.

(1 Timothy 6:9) Extravagance, wanting stuff more then wanting God.
But
people who want to get rich keep toppling into temptation and are trapped by many stupid and harmful desires that plunge them
into destruction and ruin.
(1 Timothy 6:10) For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people,
in their eagerness to get rich, have wandered away from the faith and caused themselves a lot of pain.
(1 Timothy
6:11) But you, man of God, must flee from all these things. Instead, you must pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness,
love, endurance, and gentleness.

(Mark 4:18) And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
(Mark 4:19) And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in,
choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful

(Luke 12:15)
He told the people, "Be careful to guard yourselves from every kind
of greed. Life is not about having a lot of material possessions."

(Romans 1:26) For this reason God allowed their shameful passions to control them. Their women
have exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.
(Romans 1:27) Likewise, their men have given up
natural sexual relations with women and burn with lust for each other. Men commit indecent acts with men, so they experience
among themselves the punishment they deserve for their perversion
(Romans 1:28) And because they thought it
was worthless to acknowledge God, God allowed their own immoral minds to control them. So they do these indecent things.

(Romans 6:23) The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely
gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord

(2 Timothy 3:2)
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
(2 Timothy 3:3) without love, unforgiving, slanderous,
without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
(2 Timothy 3:4) False to their friends, acting without
thought, lifted up in mind, loving pleasure more than God;
(2 Timothy 3:5) They will appear to have a godly
life, but they will not let its power change them. Stay away from such people
